I <3 this app! Well written and convenient. Issues download quickly and are easily read. Well done.
I thought this would be a cool app but you want me to pay for articles ? I am an acs member and I access through VPN institutional subscriber. Youre crazy or desperate if you think somebody will pay for these articles when theyre free to anyone who has paid dues. (or goes to school) Run an article on acs helping the unemployed (or suggesting alternate careers) and see the reviews.
The interface on this app is amazing as well as the download speeds for the free issue. Dont think I will really utilize it much, however, until free access is granted to ACS members. Until then, the ACS Mobile app and my paper copies of C&EN will have to do. :)
The app is good overall and will be better when ACS members can access C&EN issues for free. In the meantime, they need to update to add high resolution graphics for the images and tables in the articles. Secondly, there should be a way reduce the font size of the articles. The text is too big in my opinion.
App downloaded fine onto Ipad2. When I touch the app all I get is a frozen screen which says it is loading. Acts as if frozen. I waited about 30sec and assumed that was enough time. Ill be interested if anyone else has this issue.
